We're In A Videogame!

You can try, but Chad Warden did it so much better.

Got the Book of Cain today. It’s so damn pretty! Really nice artwork, and I’m looking forward to reading Cain’s journal.

Has a neat little envelope at the back with a map of Sanctuary.

Quite a nice ‘Limited Editon’. Truth be told I only got it since the standard would only save me like $5 compared to the LE :P

May have just ordered a Dell U2711 monitor. May have…

YTCracker’s Space Mission album is one I’ve been listening to quite a lot this past week. Initially it didn’t grab me, but my brother described it as ‘a grower’. It really was. There are some tracks on this album that I just can’t listen to enough, this being one of them.

Spotify scares me

Spotify was just unleashed on Australian music lovers. It allows you to stream music at up to 320kbps from their giant library of music, for an extremely reasonable price. For about half of what you’d pay for an album in Australia, you can access Spotify’s library as without limits. It also kinda terrifies me.

The first thing about Spotify that scares me, is that music is no longer yours. You lose that connection you had with the music in *your* library. It’s hard to explain, but when my music is in my library, it’s mine. When I’m streaming it from Spotify, it’s someone elses, and I’m paying to visit their library. It’s a fantastic service, and I actually think I’ll subscribe myself, but it has me worried that I’ll lose that connection I had to the music I love.

If you can pay a pittance and stream any song you like, whenever you like, why would you buy music again? I’ve found a few albums I quite like using Spotify’s Last.FM application. Problem is, if I sub to Spotify, I would find it incredibly hard to justify buying these albums. This brings up questions like “What happens when Spotify goes down for good?”.

This is so ranty, I might stop myself before I go on further.

TL;DR

Spotify has me afraid I will stop caring about my music, since it will be on tap.

If you haven’t listened to this album yet, you should. ytcracker takes the Chrono Trigger soundtrack, and turns it into a hip-hop album.

Can be downloaded for free from here

I play Chrono Trigger, and I start hearing rap in my head, that’;s how much I’ve listened to this album.

USB Soulstone is pretty cool. Got to be careful not to jam it into your head though.

It finally arrived (yesterday). It’s so pretty!

I think my 3DS is adequately protected. In a faux-leather case, with a bestskinseverskin, and now an aluminium shell.
